What Is Pelvic Floor Strengthening by SculpMus?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles forming the base of the pelvis — supporting the bladder, bowel, uterus, and prostate, and playing a foundational role in core stability, posture, and continence. Like all muscles, the pelvic floor weakens with age, childbirth, hormonal changes, and prolonged inactivity. When these muscles weaken, the consequences can range from occasional urinary leakage to significant loss of control, core instability, and reduced quality of life.

SculpMus Pelvic Floor therapy uses HIFEM — High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic — technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles from outside the body. The electromagnetic energy passes through clothing and skin without any internal procedure — inducing supramaximal pelvic floor contractions far more intense and precisely targeted than any voluntary exercise can produce.

A single 30-minute SculpMus pelvic floor session induces approximately 11,000 pelvic floor contractions. Even the most consistent Kegel exercise routine cannot match this volume, intensity, or depth of muscular engagement. The result, over a course of treatment, is a significantly stronger, better-coordinated pelvic floor — with measurable improvements in symptoms such as stress urinary incontinence.

The treatment is conducted seated, fully clothed, in a private room at Lyfe Medical Wellness. There is no physical contact with the pelvic area, no undressing, and no internal examination of any kind.

Treatment Areas

What SculpMus Body Shaping Covers

Abdomen — Core Definition

The abdomen is the most requested SculpMus area. Supramaximal contractions of the rectus abdominis and oblique muscles produce both muscle definition and localised fat reduction — a visibly more toned and defined midsection. Particularly effective for patients who have achieved a healthy weight but cannot develop visible abdominal definition through diet and exercise alone.

Buttocks — Non-Surgical Lifting

SculpMus gluteal treatment builds and lifts the glute muscles — producing a natural lifting and shaping effect without surgery, implants, or fat transfer procedures. Results are a naturally stronger, higher and more defined gluteal contour.

Arms — Bicep and Tricep Toning

The upper arm is an area where many patients find exercise-based improvement slow and difficult to achieve. SculpMus directly stimulates the bicep and tricep muscle groups — producing toning and definition alongside reduction of surrounding arm fat.

Legs and Calves

Thigh and calf treatment improves overall leg definition and contour. Inner thigh treatment addresses an area particularly resistant to exercise-based fat reduction. Calf treatment builds definition in an area many patients find disproportionate or underdeveloped relative to the rest of their physique.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Who Is Pelvic Floor Strengthening by SculpMus For?

This programme is designed for adults who want a clinically effective, non-invasive and discreet approach to pelvic floor rehabilitation — without surgery, without internal procedures, and without the inconsistency of self-directed exercise alone.

  • You are a woman who has experienced vaginal childbirth and noticed a change in pelvic floor strength, bladder control or core stability in the weeks, months or years since — and you want to address this directly rather than accept it as permanent

  • You experience stress urinary incontinence — leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercising — and you want a physician-supervised treatment that addresses the muscular cause, not just the symptom

  • You are in perimenopause or post-menopause and are experiencing the gradual pelvic floor weakness that accompanies hormonal change — and you want to maintain control, core strength and pelvic health proactively

  • You are a man who has undergone prostate surgery or radiation therapy and is experiencing urinary incontinence or pelvic floor weakness as a result — and you want a structured, non-invasive rehabilitation programme
  • You are an active person, athlete or fitness-conscious individual who recognises the pelvic floor as foundational to core strength, posture and lower back stability — and you want to build or maintain it properly

  • You are an international patient visiting Phuket who wants to complete a full 6-session pelvic floor rehabilitation course during your stay — a practical and private way to address something you may not have been able to access or discuss easily at home

Pelvic floor SculpMus therapy is not suitable for patients with cardiac pacemakers or implantable defibrillators, metal implants in or near the pelvic area, copper IUDs, active urinary tract infections, or pregnancy. Patients with recent pelvic surgery or active pelvic inflammatory conditions require individual assessment. Dr. Eak screens all patients thoroughly at consultation before any programme begins.

Key Benefits

Why Patients Choose SculpMus Pelvic Floor at Lyfe Medical

Clinically Significant Results

HIFEM pelvic floor technology has been studied extensively. Clinical trials report significant improvement in stress urinary incontinence symptoms in 75–95% of patients completing a full course, with many achieving complete symptom resolution.

No Internal Procedures — Complete Dignity

The entire treatment is conducted fully clothed, seated in a chair, without any physical contact. There is no undressing, no internal examination, and no procedure of any kind involving the pelvic region.

No Downtime

Return to all normal activities immediately after each session. Mild pelvic muscle awareness for a few hours is common and resolves quickly.

Physician-Supervised

All treatments at Lyfe Medical are supervised by Dr. Eak. Patient assessment, suitability screening, and programme design are conducted with clinical rigour.

Faster and More Effective Than Kegel Exercises Alone

11,000 supramaximal contractions per session — consistently, at the precise depth and intensity required. No compliance required on the patient’s part between sessions.

Completely Private

Sessions are conducted in a private room. Your treatment is fully confidential within the clinical team.

Safety and Contraindications

SculpMus pelvic floor therapy is not suitable for all patients. Absolute contraindications include cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, metal implants in or near the pelvic area including metal IUDs (copper and metal IUDs are contraindicated; plastic IUDs such as hormonal IUS are typically acceptable but should be disclosed), pregnancy, and active urinary tract infections.

Patients with neurological conditions affecting pelvic sensation, recent pelvic or abdominal surgery, or active pelvic inflammatory disease should be assessed individually by Dr. Eak before treatment.

All patients complete a full medical history and contraindication screening with Dr. Eak before any treatment begins. Your safety and your comfort are the non-negotiable starting points for any programme at Lyfe Medical Wellness.

You Don’t Have to Simply Accept Pelvic Floor Weakness.

Many patients live with stress incontinence or post-partum pelvic floor weakness for years before seeking treatment — often because they assume it is inevitable, or because they feel embarrassed to discuss it. It is neither inevitable nor something to be embarrassed about. Dr. Eak conducts all consultations with complete discretion and professionalism. The conversation is straightforward and confidential.

Frequently Asked Questions

We would encourage patients to separate the slight awkwardness of discussing pelvic floor concerns from the treatment itself — which is entirely non-invasive, fully clothed, and private. You sit in a treatment chair. Your pelvic floor muscles contract. The session ends. There is nothing physically exposing or uncomfortable about the experience. Dr. Eak and the Lyfe Medical team are clinical professionals who regularly work with patients on these concerns — the conversation and the treatment are handled with complete normality and respect. Many patients report that their concern about the embarrassment of seeking help was significantly worse than the consultation and treatment itself.

The standard initial course is 6 sessions conducted twice weekly over 3 weeks. Some patients notice meaningful improvement after 2–3 sessions. Full assessment of results is conducted 4–6 weeks after the final session, when the complete neuromuscular adaptation is established. Maintenance sessions of 2–3 per course every 3–6 months are recommended to sustain the benefit. Patients with more significant initial weakness or more advanced symptoms may be advised to consider a longer initial course — Dr. Eak will advise based on your assessment.

Many patients notice an improvement in pelvic floor awareness and control within 2–3 weeks of starting their course. Measurable improvement in stress incontinence symptoms is typically apparent by the end of the initial 3-week course, with continued improvement over the following 4–8 weeks as the neuromuscular adaptations fully establish. The completeness and speed of improvement varies significantly between individuals based on the degree of initial weakness, age, and the underlying cause of the weakness.

Yes — and you are encouraged to. SculpMus produces the rehabilitation stimulus; consistent Kegel exercises between sessions reinforce the neuromuscular connection being established. Dr. Eak or our clinical team can advise on the appropriate Kegel technique to complement your SculpMus programme. Many patients find that their pelvic floor awareness and Kegel exercise effectiveness improves substantially as a result of the SculpMus course — because they can feel their pelvic floor contracting more clearly.

Yes. Pelvic floor weakness and stress urinary incontinence affect men as well as women — most commonly following prostate surgery or radiation therapy, or as a consequence of aging. SculpMus pelvic floor therapy is equally applicable for men. Dr. Eak conducts all consultations with complete professionalism and discretion regardless of the patient’s gender or the nature of their concerns.
