Are aesthetic treatments at Lyfe Medical performed by a licensed doctor?

Yes. All aesthetic procedures at Lyfe Medical Wellness are performed by or directly supervised by physician, our licensed aesthetic physician registered with the Thai Medical Council. We do not use beauty technicians or unsupervised non-medical staff for any injectable, device-based, or procedural treatment. Every patient receives a one-on-one medical assessment with licensed physician before any treatment is recommended. This is a physician-led medical clinic — not a beauty salon.

All treatments are carried out in accordance with Thai Medical Council regulations, Ministry of Public Health guidelines, and international clinical standards. We use only CE-marked and FDA-cleared medical devices — including our Ultraformer III, SculpMus, and Aquapure systems. All injectable products including Botox and dermal fillers are sourced exclusively from authorised pharmaceutical distributors. Before every procedure, We conduct a full health screening and contraindication review. Patient safety takes precedence over treatment volume at every step.

Our  Our licensed physicain explain all potential side effects and provides written aftercare instructions to every patient before treatment begins. If you experience any unexpected reaction — whether you are still in Phuket or have returned home — contact the clinic directly. For patients still in Phuket we arrange a review appointment promptly. For international patients who have returned home, we provide support via WhatsApp and phone and, where appropriate, coordinate with a local medical provider. Our responsibility to your wellbeing does not end when you leave the clinic.

Botox and dermal fillers both involve injections but work in fundamentally different ways. Botox (botulinum toxin) relaxes the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles — lines that form when you move your face, such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. It can also slim the lower face by relaxing the masseter muscle. Dermal fillers, typically hyaluronic acid, add volume to areas that have deflated with age — cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and jawline. In simple terms: Botox softens movement-related lines; fillers restore lost volume. Many patients benefit from both in the same session. We will assess your face and recommend the right approach at your consultation.

Both are non-surgical options for skin laxity, but they work differently and suit different patients. Ultraformer III uses focused ultrasound to stimulate collagen production and tighten skin from within — no needles, no incisions, no downtime. Results build over 2–3 months. Thread lifting uses fine dissolvable threads inserted under the skin to physically lift and reposition tissue, giving a more immediate and structurally visible result with a few days of mild recovery. Ultraformer III typically suits patients with mild to moderate laxity wanting a completely non-invasive option. Thread lifting suits patients who want a more definitive lift and are comfortable with a short recovery. In some cases combining both gives the best result. We will assess your skin condition and recommend the right approach.

Each treatment targets a different concern. Fat Lipolysis Injections are designed for localised stubborn fat deposits — particularly double chin, jowl fat, or small pockets of facial fat. The injections work by dissolving fat cells directly in the treated area.

SculpMus Body Shaping uses electromagnetic muscle stimulation to build muscle tone and support body contouring for areas such as the abdomen, buttocks, or thighs. It is also used for pelvic floor strengthening.

What happens at a first consultation at Lyfe Medical Wellness?

Your first consultation with our licensed physician is typically lasts 15–30 minutes. He will review your medical history and current medications, discuss your aesthetic concerns and goals, examine the areas of concern, recommend the most appropriate treatment or combination, and explain the procedure, realistic results, recovery, and risks in full. There is no obligation to proceed. Many patients use the first consultation to gather information and decide in their own time — this is entirely welcome. We recommend noting down any questions in advance and bringing a list of current medications.

Downtime varies by treatment. Botox — no downtime, return to normal activities immediately. Ultraformer III — no downtime, possible mild redness for a few hours. Aquapure Facial — no downtime. SculpMus — no downtime, possible mild muscle soreness for 24–48 hours. Dermal Fillers — minimal downtime, mild swelling or bruising resolving within 2–5 days. Facial Mesotherapy and Placenta Facial — possible mild redness for 12–24 hours. Fat Lipolysis — mild swelling and tenderness at injection sites for 3–5 days. Thread Lift — mild swelling and tenderness for 2–4 days, most patients resume social activities within 3–5 days. We provide specific written aftercare instructions for your chosen treatment at the time of your appointment.

Most patients find treatments significantly more comfortable than expected. Botox involves brief sharp sensations at each injection point — most describe it as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. Dermal Fillers use a topical numbing cream beforehand — you may feel pressure and mild stinging at injection points, which most patients tolerate well. Ultraformer III produces a heat and tingling sensation as ultrasound energy is delivered — the intensity is fully adjustable and our licensed physicain calibrates it to your comfort throughout. Thread Lift is performed under local anaesthetic — you will feel pressure and movement but minimal pain. SculpMus feels like intense muscle contractions, similar to a high-intensity workout. All treatment protocols are adjusted by our licensed physician based on your individual comfort. If at any point during treatment you find the sensation too uncomfortable, tell us and we will adjust immediately.

Costs vary depending on the procedure, the areas treated, and the amount of product used. As a general guide: Botox is priced per area or per unit; dermal fillers per syringe; Ultraformer III and thread lifting by treatment zones; SculpMus and cellulite reduction per session or as a package. We do not publish a fixed price list because accurate pricing is only possible after our licensed physician assesses exactly what is appropriate for your goals — a price without an assessment is often misleading.
